Title: the little prince
Author: antoine de saint-exupery

Rating: ★★★★★
summary: a pilot crash-lands in the sahara desert and encounters a little prince who fell from the stars. as the pilot works to mend his plane, the little prince tells him the story of how he came to earth and what he left behind.
review: this book is so heartbreakingly beautiful in so many ways. in fewer than 100 pages, it teaches about love, devotion, responsibility, friendship, life.. it makes the Grown-Ups who read it take a moment to think about their lives and priorities and take the time to think about what is really important.
this is another book that teaches me something different every time i read it. and it breaks my heart every time.
"people where you live," the little prince said, "grow five thousand roses in one garden... yet they don't find what they're looking for..."
"they don't find it," i answered.
"and yet what they're looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water..."
"of course," i answered.
and the little prince added, "but the eyes are blind. you have to look with the heart."
